Paid per session or per finished hour — the rate agreed before you book, paid on time. Every engagement starts here; nothing pays less than this.
Usage Licensing
Recordings are licensed for a specific use, and that value is in your fee. If the term renews or the scope expands to a new use, the deal reopens — it's never assumed.
Full Buyouts
Complete, permanent rights command a serious premium over session rates. A "buyout" offered at session prices is underpayment with a nicer name.
Exclusivity Premiums
A client wants your voice off the market — even in one category, even for a while? That's a restriction on your career, and restrictions are paid for. Separately.
Cloning Consents
Any cloning — product-facing or internal — is its own explicit consent, its own contract, and its own (higher) negotiation. It is never bundled into "AI work".
Royalty & IP-Share
On select in-house productions: a share in what your voice helps create, paying beyond the session. The kind of structure creative India has never been offered.
Every Voqals contract pairs the two: the work being recorded × the structure paying for it — named in plain language before you record a word. If it's not named, it's not licensed. That's the deal.
